Future Daughter is an audio/visual electronic group from Norway. Their piece Ekphrasis is comprised of „Solids“, „Liquids“, and „Gasses“ which imagine aural textures for each physical state. „Liquids“ and „Gasses“ begin with variations on an arpeggio, the former surrounded by what sounds like crinkling cellphone, the latter with a clear and bubbling shimmer. „Solids“ at first recalls a creaking door, but morphs into a heavier bass-centric composition that builds to a beautiful sustained climax.
