Calabashmoon is Daniel Berkman’s 4th recording of music for the Kora (a 21-stringed harp/ lute from West Africa). While his previous three CD’s focused on Kora treated live with electronic devices and looped in real time, Calabashmoon is a collection of lush compositions, weaving in sounds and samples from his tour with Diali Kunda Kouyate through Senegal, Gambia and Mali in 2002.
