AudioVisual Anarchivism, the Ed Snowden edition

ºAudioVisual Anarchivism
Modern devices have huge numbers of image, video, audio and text files hidden away deep down in their operating systems. Audiovisual Anarchivism aims to free these secret libraries of borgesian dimensions from their dark dungeons so they can breathe the fresh air of audiovisual performance, and maybe find purpose in life. For the Magical Secrecy Tour Event at NK, de Campo and Hoelzl join forces with computer whisperer/wiz Daniel Hromada to redirect our A/V algorithms towards material famously leaked by Snowden and to publicly available sources about institutionalized paranoia (i.e. the 800 intelligence services worldwide). In the spirit of true interpassivity, we let our machines read all the material for us, and present the elements in a dense stream of layered projections and sonified abstractions. Expect a tachycardic experience as you try to make sense of the flood of data, just like our in-security partners in the “worldwide intelligence community“.
