Negotiations between the US and Iran have continued into early Sunday morning in Islamabad, Pakistan, with the delegations now beginning a new round of talks, according to Iranian media.

The overall tone and outcome of the negotiations has remained largely positive, Pakistani sources told CNN, but a stalemate persists over control of the Strait of Hormuz. A source close to Tehran’s negotiating team previously told CNN the US made “unacceptable demands” over the strait and several other issues.
