Following a string of advances that had the Syrian Armed Forces capture over half a dozen east Aleppo districts, the Syrian Army supported by the local YPG from Sheikh Maqsoud would proceed to seize control of the Hallak Al-Fukani, Hallak Al-Tahtani, and Bustan Al-Basha districts.

It was the “first substantial fight” between Israeli soldiers and ISIS affiliates in the long-running Syrian war, said Lt. Col. Peter Lerner, an Israel military spokesman. No Israelis were injured.

(25.11.2016) Amal Abu Saleh was sentenced to seven years and eight months in jail with a $3,000 fine, whilst Bashira Mahmoud was sentenced to 22 months in prison and fined $1,000 dollars.

According to SANA, Israeli forces arrested the two along with 24 others in June 2015, when residents of the village of Majdal Shams blocked the ambulance and prevented it from transporting two injured terrorists from Jabhat Fateh al-Sham, formerly known as Jabhar al-Nusra.

(23.6.2015) The ambulance, accompanied by a Military Police patrol car, was making its way to Kiryat Shmona when it encountered the Druze protesters near Majdal Shams, where they hurled stones at it. The ambulance managed to escape, and protesters chased it to Neve Ativ.

An IDF source said the Druze protesters were able to lay their hands on the wounded Syrians, and says the attack likely worsened their condition.

(1.12.2014) On 27 October, position 80 observed two IDF soldiers east of the technical fence returning from the direction of the Alpha line towards the technical fence. UNDOF observed IDF opening the technical fence gate and letting two individuals pass from the Bravo to the Alpha side. Following the evacuation of UNDOF personnel from position 85 on 28 August, UNDOF sporadically observed armed members of the opposition interacting with IDF across the ceasefire line in the vicinity of United Nations position 85.

(4.12.2014) UN troops monitoring the 1974 ceasefire between Israel and Syria have witnessed interactions between members of the Israeli Defence Forces and the Al Nusra Front who have taken over a large part of the Golan Heights.

(21.11.2016) Now that the 4th Mechanized Division‘s elite 42nd Brigade is free to be redeployed, the Golan Heights front will become the new battle-zone in southern Syria, as the government attempts to isolate the jihadist rebels near the Israeli border.
