(31.10.2015) The joining together of army, air force and navy headquarters will make it easier to lead France‘s military operations abroad, said Jean-Paul Bodin, secretary general for the administration of the Defense Ministry. „This enables us to be in contact with each other much more easily than before and also to mobilize the staff quicker when needed.“

The German national team have been evacuated from their hotel in Paris due to a bomb threat, according to reports.

Germany are in Paris for a friendly against France on Friday night, but their preparations were reportedly disturbed just before lunchtime when they were forced to leave the Molitor hotel.

„There was a threat and the hotel has been evacuated and cordoned off,“ Bierhoff told Germany‘s Express newspaper.

— At least six shootings took place in Paris and three explosions took place at the Stade de France in Saint-Denis late Friday, CNN affiliate BFMTV said. Two or three gunmen entered the Bataclan concert hall while opening fire on law enforcement, BFMTV reported. A source earlier told CNN there were six to six hostage takes, citing a person they were talking to inside the venue.

— CNN’s Jim Bittermann, who is based in Paris, reports a producer who is at the Bataclan tells him that police are firing at a rooftop position near the venue.

(24.6.2015) WikiLeaks hatte zuvor Dokumente veröffentlicht, die belegten, dass französische Staatschefs seit 2002 abgehört wurden. So sei auch der amtierende Präsident François Hollande überwacht worden.

In dem nun verabschiedeten Gesetz wird unter anderem festgelegt, welche Spionage- und Überwachsungstechniken die französischen Geheimdienste einsetzen dürfen.

(24.6.2015) Der US-Geheimdienst NSA soll jahrelang französische Spitzenpolitiker abgehört haben, die drei letzten Staatspräsidenten François Hollande, Nicolas Sarkozy und Jacques Chirac mit eingeschlossen. Das geht aus Dokumenten hervor, die der Enthüllungsplattform Wikileaks zugespielt wurden und die gestern Abend Auszüge daraus veröffentlicht hat. Die Unterlagen decken den Zeitraum von 2004 bis 2014 ab.

(9.6.2015) Manuel Valls, als Premier künftig im Herz des Informationsnetzes, sagt, dass nun ein effektiver Kampf gegen Terror und Kriminalität möglich sei. „Die Gefahren vorhersehen, aufdecken, analysieren und verstehen, nur so kann man die Sicherheit garantieren“, sagt der Sozialist und zitiert den chinesischen General Sun Tzu: „Eine Armee ohne Spione ist wie ein Mensch ohne Ohren.“

(15.5.2015) Gleichzeitig schränkt das Gesetz die richterlichen Kontrollmöglichkeiten der geheimdienstlichen Datensammlung und -speicherung ein. So werden die Geheimdienste nur von einer mit Parlamentariern und Richtern besetzten Kommission kontrolliert, die ihre Beschlüsse einstimmig fassen muss.

Deren Beschluss führt aber nicht unmittelbar zu einer Beschränkung der zu überprüfenden Überwachung, da zuvor noch der Staatsrat angerufen werden muss.

(7.5.2015) Der Anschlag auf die Redaktion der Satire-Zeitschrift „Charlie Hebdo“ im vergangenen Januar hat Konsequenzen. Frankreich mutiert nun zum totalen Polizeistaat, in dem die Menschen ohne richterliche Kontrolle überwacht werden dürfen. Dies ist eine Blaupause für einen künftigen EU-Totalitarismus.

(7.5.2015) Die Tatsache, aus Europa eine einzige große Diktatur machen zu wollen, ist ja wahrlich kein neuer Gedanke. Natürlich muss man dabei umsichtig vorgehen, um keinen Argwohn unter den Schäfchen aufkommen zu lassen, deren Wohl angeblich der ganze Aufwand dient. Immer braucht es einen Vorreiter, wenn es um die stückweise Einschränkung von Menschen- und Freiheitsrechten geht. Ausgerechnet Frankreich, das Land der Jeanne d’Arc, da wo angeblich Freiheit, Gleichheit und Brüderlichkeit zuhause sein sollen, macht sich aufgrund des Charlie Hebdo Massakers zum EU-Terror-Suppenkasper in dieser Sache.

Mindestens seit gestern setzt die Armee auch Panzer, gepanzerte Fahrzeuge und Helikopter gegen die Stadt ein. Augenzeugenberichten zufolge sollen ganze Stadtteile mit Artillerie beschossen werden. Genaue und verlässliche Opferzahlen gibt es bisher nicht.

Zwei strategische US-Bomberflugzeuge vom Typ B-52 haben sich der bezüglich ihres völkerrechtlichen Status umstrittenen Spratly-Inselgruppe im Südchinesischen Meer genähert. The terrorist organizations in those areas suffered heavy losses in personnel and equipment, with a number of their heavy machinegun-equipped vehicles getting destroyed, according to the source.

Auf Vorschlag der Türkei werden beim G20-Gipfel am 15./16. November im Mittelmeer-Badeort Antalya Probleme der Bekämpfung des Terrorismus und die Flüchtlingskrise zur Sprache gebracht. In view of the heavy fighting, which was approaching close to the UNDOF headquarters at Camp Faouar and the mission’s positions in the central part of the area of separation, the Force Commander briefed both parties early in September on the Force’s plans to relocate its personnel and assets should the Nusra Front or other extremist fighters who posed a clear threat to the mission endanger the safety and security of the United Nations personnel. It should be noted here that from information posted on social media as well as in the course of its efforts to secure the release of the peacekeepers, the United Nations learned that its personnel had been taken and held by members of the Nusra Front. There were indications that the Nusra Front intended to detain additional UNDOF personnel and take from UNDOF more weapons and vehicles as opportunities arose. (…)

12. Crossing of the ceasefire line by civilians, primarily shepherds, was observed on an almost daily basis. On 24 October, United Nations observation post 73 observed 12 IDF soldiers who detained one civilian between the Alpha line and the Israeli technical fence south-east of the observation post and subsequently took him away. IDF informed UNDOF that they released the person within one hour at the same location. On 27 October, position 80 observed two IDF soldiers east of the technical fence returning from the direction of the Alpha line towards the technical fence. UNDOF observed IDF opening the technical fence gate and letting two individuals pass from the Bravo to the Alpha side. Following the evacuation of UNDOF personnel from position 85 on 28 August, UNDOF sporadically observed armed members of the opposition interacting with IDF across the ceasefire line in the vicinity of United Nations position 85.
