Several thousand people protested in Turkey on Friday the arrest of two prominent journalists charged with espionage and terrorist propaganda.

The protests take place after Cumhuriyet newspaper‘s editor-in-chief Can Dundar, and the paper‘s Ankara bureau chief, Erdem Gul, were jailed on Thursday for their reports on alleged government arms smuggling to Syria.
