“We are powerless as we are witnessing the project to distort our Constitution by a Parliament that has been explicitly declared to be illegitimate by the Constitutional Court’s judgement n. 1 of 2014. The project is to create an authoritarian system that gives lordly powers to the President of the Council. With the possibility of having a single House of Parliament and the simplification and centralisation of the administration, the Italy of Matteo Renzi and Silvio Berlusconi is changing its appearance while the press, the parties and the citizens are looking on dumbfounded (or they’re in agreement). The PD has an enormous responsibility given that it is allowing the activation of what was Berlusconi’s plan, a plan that was persistently rejected in the past and that is now being accepted on the sly.
