Prime Minister Valeriu Strelet today held a meeting with newly-appointed Swedish Ambassador to Moldova Signe Burgstaller. Sweden is one of Moldova’s main development partners, with projects in various social and economic fields. Moldova is currently implementing more projects financed by the Swedish government, amounting to 37 million euros. The Strategy for Sweden‘s International Development in 2014-2020 provides for the annual allocation of 14 million euros to promote reforms in Moldova, and namely, to its economic integration into the EU, ensure human rights and the supremacy of law, protect environment and consolidate its endurance to global climate chances.
