The decision, which was taken in conjunction with the United States, includes placing a THAAD battery in the Seongsan-ri region of the Seongju County, in the province of North Gyeongsang, where the air forces of South Korea have a Hawk Surface-to-Air (SAM) ballistic defense battery.
