Spokespeople for the Prosecutor’s Office said Taziyev was man number two in the hierarchy of the North Caucasian paramilitary formation calling itself Imarat Kavkaz.

He is charged with the setting up of permanent paramilitary groupings, the members of which committed especially heinous terrorist crimes under his supervision.
