A military helicopter crashed in Afghanistan on March 16. About 12 Turkish peacekeepers died. The helicopter belonged to a NATO-led security mission ISAF in Afghanistan. The causes of the accident are still unknown.

The bodies of the peacekeepers were taken to Turkey and buried.
