He is keen on fuelling agricultural cooperation, so more Brazilian businessmen can farm and develop projects in the African country, perhaps with Arab funding. He would also like to see small-scale farmers in Sudan buy equipment from Brazil and rely on Brazilian credit and training. He will work to foster closer ties between the two countries’ sugar and ethanol industries.
