A groundbreaking system capable of predicting when and where crimes and accidents are likely to occur based on data learned by artificial intelligence is to be developed by Kanagawa prefectural police.
The system, the first of its kind in the nation, is expected to be trialed in 2020, the year of the Tokyo Olympics and Paralympics.
The AI-based system will be built on data of when and where approximately 1 million crimes and 800,000 accidents occurred in the past.
