His comments come as Defense Minister Yoav Galant said Israel is waging a war on seven fronts.

“This is a long, tough war. It has costs, heavy costs, but its justification is the greatest there can be,” Gallant told parliament on Tuesday.

He vowed Israel would punish Hamas over its Oct. 7 attack, “whether it takes months or years.”
