(3.August 2014) I was in the middle of such a debate this past week between people who proposed that we are being seduced to totalitarianism by the bread and circuses of Huxley’s “Brave New World” and those who thought it was through the pain and suppression of Orwell’s “1984”.

To quote the great 21st Century progressive philosopher, H.R. Clinton: “What difference, at this point does it make?”

My argument was exactly that as proposed by the philosopher Clinton, the common denominator of Huxley and Orwell is that both are two forks that converge on a single path – big government control.
