Argentina has been trying to replace its Dassault Mirage IIIEA, IAI Dagger, and McDonnell Douglas A-4 Skyhawk fighter fleets. Russia has also tried to interest Argentina with the possible lease of Sukhoi Su-24 ‘Fencer’ strike aircraft but Janes suggests this may be the Russians playing political games.
