While servitude is an abomination, voluntary servitude by those willingfully blind and ignorant is infinitely more reprehensible. As the right ignores, impoverishes and dispossesses great swaths of the population, they should remember that those New Deal programs they so revile and resist were born of the very same laissez-faire inequity and wretched conditions they now so diligently seek to re-create.
