These books are the very copies the censorship officers read and assessed, and they have been in the collection of America’s Library of Congress (LC) for more than 70 years after they were requisitioned from the Japan’s Home Ministry by the occupation forces after the end of World War II….It is anticipated that making the digital archive available in Japan will invigorate related studies in the modern history of Japan.
