The Syrian military has deployed advanced Russian-made T-90 main battle tanks to western Aleppo, according to the video released on October 31. T-90 MBTs were observed in the Minyan area where they were participating in operations against Jaish al-Fatah, a Jabhat al-Nusra-led coalition of militant groups.

As SouthFront forecasted on October 28, the Jaish al-Fatah militant coalition, led by Jabhat Fatah al-Sham (formerly Jabhat al-Nusra, the Syrian Al-Qaeda branch) has not been able to deliver a devastating blow to the Syrian government forces and to break the siege of eastern Aleppo.

A U.S.-led coalition fighting against the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) plans to launch operations within weeks to isolate the Syrian city of Raqqa as an offensive in Iraq’s Mosul continues, Washington said hours after Ankara said the Raqqa operation should start after the end of the Mosul and Turkey’s Euphrates Shield operations in northern Syria.

“We never believed it was the decision of the president to shoot down the plane. We know that outside forces were involved with that decision,” said Leonid Reshetnikov, the head of the Russian Institute for Strategic Studies (RISS).

He was speaking on Oct. 31 at a conference organized by the Ankara Policy Center on the future of Turkish–Russian relations.

Im Vorfeld einer Debatte zwischen Hillary Clinton und Bernie Sanders auf CNN zeigte Brazile, dass ihre früheren Kontakte zu dem Sender offenbar immernoch hilfreich sind. Sie teilte Clintons Wahlkampfmanager John Podesta mit, welche Fragen die frühere Außenministerin zu erwarten habe:

„In unserer Region ereignen sich wichtige Veränderungen. Einerseits geht die Türkei gegen eine ernstzunehmende Terrorgruppierung im Inland vor. Andererseits gibt es Bewegungen jenseits unserer Grenze. Was wir jetzt tun, geschieht im Rahmen der Vorbeugung gegen mögliche Szenarien.“

„It is impossible to view this as anything less than a blatant double standard,“ Mook, Clinton‘s campaign manager, said on a call with reporters. „That Director Comey would show more discretion in a matter concerning a foreign state action than one involving the Democratic nominee for president is nothing short of jaw-dropping.“

2. Die gesetzlich ermächtigten Behörden benötigen eine permanente Überwachung des Fernmeldeverkehrs in Echtzeit. Verbindungsrelevante Daten sollen auch in Echtzeit bereitgestellt werden. Falls diese verbindungsrelevanten Daten nicht in Echtzeit zur Verfügung gestellt werden können, benötigen die gesetzlich ermächtigten Behörden die Daten so bald wie möglich nach Anrufende.

A special report by Statewatch published at the end of February detailed plans for a joint plan drawn up by the Council of the European Union and the US Federal Bureau of Investigations (FBI) to introduce a global system for the surveillance of telecommunications – phone calls, e-mails and faxes. Further investigations have revealed that:

a. The decision to go ahead was never discussed by the Council of Justice and Home Affairs Ministers – it was simply agreed by „written procedure“ through an exchange of telexes between the 15 EU governments.

b. The „Requirements“ to be placed on network and service providers by the European Union to enable the surveillance of communications adopted on 17 January 1995 – and not made public until November 1996 – is based on the „Requirements“ drawn up by the FBI in 1992 (and revised in 1994).

The first attempt by the FBI in the United States to get through a new law to allow for the surveillance of all telecommunications was withdrawn from the Congress in June 1991. In March 1992 a redrafted proposal, the Digital Telephony Bill, was sent to the Congress but after major opposition by civil liberties groups it was quietly withdrawn in the autumn of 1992 just before the Presidential election which saw Clinton returned to the White House.

(28.3.2016) Nicht nur die parlamentarische, auch die außerparlamentarische Opposition stellt sich weiter tot oder dumm und spielt der U.S.-geführten internationalen Kriegskoalition und ihrer Bundesregierung weiter in die Hände. Der moralisch-politische Zusammenbruch von Friedensbewegung, Sozialdemokratie, Liberalen und Linken setzt sich weiter fort.

Am 31. Oktober ist es nachmittags bei zwei deutschen Luftfahrzeugen des Typs Tornado wegen eines technischen Defekts zu einer Luftnotlage gekommen. Die Tornados gehören dem Einsatzkontingent Counter Daesh an und befanden sich zu diesem Zeitpunkt über dem Einsatzgebiet.

Zwei „Tornado“-Kampfflugzeuge der Bundeswehr haben wegen „eines technischen Defekts“ im Nordirak zwischenlanden müssen, wie dpa meldet.

Die Bundeswehr sprach demnach am Montagabend von einer „Luftnotlage“. Ein Sprecher des Einsatzführungskommandos in Potsdam habe jedoch betont, es hätte sich nicht um eine Notlandung gehandelt.

So hat zum Beispiel das litauische Verteidigungsministerium in der vergangen Woche eine 75-seitige Broschüre veröffentlicht (auch online verfügbar), in der geschildert wird, wie man sich im Falle einer Invasion verhalten sollte.

In dem 75-seitigen Dokument mit dem Titel „Sich für das Überleben in Notsituationen und Krieg rüsten“, wird geschrieben, dass „ein besonderes Augenmerk auf die Handlungen Russlands gelegt werden sollte“, da dieses Land keine Bedenken dabei habe, „Waffengewalt gegen seine Nachbarn einzusetzen“.
