Unidentified armed men on motorcycles attacked the convoy near Menaka in the Gao region, a spokesman for the U.N. Stabilization Mission in Mali (MINUSMA) said.

According to Olivier Salgado, the U.N. does not yet know who was responsible for the ambush.
