Troops called up to drive during ambulance strike

Soldiers, marines and airmen will be drafted in as drivers when ambulance workers go on strike on Monday morning, the Ministry of Defence says.
Around 130 military drivers will replace striking London Ambulance Service and North West Ambulance Service staff.
Several hundred thousand NHS workers are expected to go on strike in protest at the Government‘s refusal to give them a 1 per cent pay rise.
