He created in (1979) and leads the Institut français des relations internationales (IFRI) that publishes the annual Ramsès report. Member of the Director Committee of the Bilderberg conferences since 1976. He is member of the council of the Centre d‘études prospectives et d‘informations internationales (CEPII) and is on the editorial board of Foreign Policy. In 2010 was accepted as corresponding academician in the Royal Academy of Economics and Financial Sciences of Spain.[6]
