Vladimir Putin had a telephone conversation with President of the Turkish Republic Recep Tayyip Erdogan at the Turkish side’s initiative.

The conversation focused on the further development of Russian-Turkish cooperation.

Special attention was given to the situation in Syria, with agreement reached to continue active contacts at various levels to coordinate efforts in assisting a Syrian settlement.
