Tear gas has apparently been fired on the streets of Sao Paulo, hours before the opening ceremony marks the beginning of the 2014 Brazilian World Cup.
Riot police scuffled with demonstrators, using stun grenades and batons to clear the streets in preparation fo the World Cup kickoff.
