Syria‘s national news agency (SANA) said 17 civilians, police and security forces were killed on Friday after some armed groups exploited the „commitment of police forces to specific instructions by the Interior Ministry not to shoot to preserve the lives of civilians.

„These groups opened fire on police forces, vandalized and burned some public and private properties as well as some police units in a number of areas,“ SANA said, adding several security and police forces were wounded.
