The Damascus International Fair opened in the Syrian capital, Thursday, after five years of forced absence due to the conflict which has ravaged the country. The fair used to be an important economic event for the Middle Eastern country before fighting broke out. Some 23 countries are taking part in the fair this year, including Western nations such as Britain, France and Germany.
