South Africa‘s deputy president and millionaire tycoon Cyril Ramaphosa was voted in Monday as the new leader of the ruling African National Congress – but the vote was close, indicating a divided party.
Ramaphosa won with 2,440 votes compared to 2,261 for his only rival Nkosazana Dlamini-Zuma, the ex-wife of embattled South African President Jacob Zuma.
