(19. Oktober) Something shocking occurred in Geneva on Monday. During questioning in the UN Human Rights Committee in the context of human rights abuses, which include the demolition of Palestinian houses, the eviction of people from their lands, torture of detainees from the occupied territories and many other criminal acts, Israel said that under international covenants its obligations do not extend to the West Bank, Gaza and East Jerusalem. The UN panel and the International Court of Justice disagreed with this view. But the Israelis are adamant. In other words, their stand is that they are doing nothing wrong by subjecting the Palestinians to extremely inhuman treatment. In that case, did the Nazis commit any wrong against Jews during World War II?
