It is hard to ignore the continued presence of the Salafist Nour Party on the Egyptian political scene, particularly following the interim government’s recent decision to designate the Muslim Brotherhood as a terrorist group. This leaves the Nour Party as the sole mainstream Islamist standard-bearers at the forthcoming parliamentary and presidential elections.
