Approximately 14 protesters were arrested at the main gates of Vandenberg Air Force Base Saturday morning as they engaged in civil disobedience demonstrating against the launch of a Minuiteman III intercontinental ballistic missile. Those arrested included longtime activist Daniel Ellsberg the man responsible for the leaking the Pentagon Papers in 1971 and Cindy Sheehan who garnered widespread attention in 2005 for her anti-war protest at a makeshift camp outside President George W. Bush‘s Texas ranch.
