Puntland Human Rights Association has sent today an open letter to the President of Puntland to release Mr. Awke Abdulahi who have been arrested by the security forces of Puntland on 4 March 2012, on charges of illegal interviewing one of the Alshabab spokes men known as Abu-mus’ad. Awke is in the Jail for about 13 days without courts. He is Director of voice of Peace radio (Codka-Nabadda).

Regarding Puntland constitution in Charter one of article 22 version 1 and 2 which are indicating the freedom press of Puntland Journalists and also regarding the communiqué issued in London conference on Somalia which specially addressing the rights of Journalists.
