Peshmerga forces of the Iraqi Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) departed from Arbil by air on Oct. 28 for the Syrian town of Kobane to help Syrian Kurds in their battle against Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) militants, according to sources. After arriving to the Şanlıurfa airport, they will travel to Kobane by land.
