Speaker of the Peoples’ Assembly Mohammad Jihad al-Laham said Syria’s talk about the “first and final” aim of the terrorist war against it being that of liquidating the Palestinian cause has been proved right.

While expressing his condemnation of the Israeli aggression against the Gaza Strip that has been ongoing for days now, al-Laham, stressed that the new aggression comes within the scope of “the wider terrorist war” waged by the armed terrorist groups against countries in the region, foremost being Syria and Iraq.
