The Greek Prime Minister, Yorgos Papandreou, has cancelled a trip to the USA (where he was to stay from Sunday until Friday) due to the severity of the crisis of Greece, which is on the verge of bankruptcy.

“The Prime Minister decided to suspend the trip next week is especially crucial to implement the decisions taken,” reported a statement from the Office of the head of the Government.
