Normandy Quartet meeting in Berlin was `difficult but constructive´ – Russian diplomat (Part 2)

A Friday meeting on Ukraine in Berlin between high-ranking diplomats from the Normandy Quartet countries with the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe participation was not easy but productive, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister and State Secretary Grigory Karasin said in an interview with Interfax.(…)
„For five hours, we exchanged opinions on how we can help this process, how to consolidate the ceasefire, how to help the OSCE Special Monitoring Mission in its work, what obligations are being observed by the parties and what not. In particular, this also concerns the separation of heavy weapons, the start of a political process, and the establishment of working groups within the framework of the existing contact group. All these issues were discussed in detail,“ he said.
