Recent work led to major breakthroughs in our understanding of the tissue development in the broad sense. As a part of these efforts, our grup focuses on building interfaces with the developing insect tissue during metamorphosis. Benefiting from these developmental changes, the idea of performing surgical implantation during metamorphic development enabled the fusion of engineered constructs to insects.
