The African Union (AU) on Friday suspended Mali from the 54-member bloc, following the military coup that brought renegade soldiers to power on Thursday. A comunique released by the Peace and Security Council (PSC) at its 315th meeting held in Addis Ababa on Friday called on the military to immediately return to the barracks and raise their grievances through democratic channels.
