The political leadership almost completely absented itself from the exercise, even though members of the cabinet and of the smaller security cabinet were invited to attend and to watch. Defense Minister Avigdor Lieberman and Construction and Housing Minister Yoav Galant were the only members of the cabinet to take up the invitation.
