We are convinced that there is no acceptable alternative for a political settlement through reconciliation of all issues within the framework of a dialog between the Government and the Opposition. Russia’s stand is compelling and remains unchanged in all aspects of the “Syrian dossier”. We advocate for Syria to be independent and united, so that all the ethnic or religious groups of the population, irrespective of their political preferences, would live peacefully in conditions of peace, stability and democracy. We believe that Syrians are able to solve problems of their country without any interference from outside.
