In a statement of what should be blindingly obvious the head of the International Monetary Fund, Christine Lagarde, has said that the outcome of the French elections poses something of a threat to the stability of the euro. This is obvious because half the candidates with any chance of winning are rather against France being in the euro, or at least it being run on anything like the current lines. Myself I think that the euro should not exist, it was a bad idea in the first place, and that everyone should leave it. But then I‘m an acknowledged extremist on this point:
