In four of the parties – Livni’s Hatnua, Foreign Minister Avigdor Lieberman’s Yisrael Beiteinu, Yair Lapid‘s Yesh Atid, and a new party formed by a charismatic former Likud member Moshe Kahlon, the party leaders will decide on the slate of candidates. In the ultra-Orthodox parties, it is a council of rabbis who chooses.
