Where am I going? Somalia has been seducing the Western and Arab friends at the same time for more than three decades. Because of self-inflicted poverty and the inability to face challenges squarely, we found ourselves in an endless need of deep-pocketed friends. We created overlapping poverty programs, and even projected false famines, just to solicit money from donors. We have been wandering around with suitcases with official statue to woo donors. The result? The country got paralyzed for thinking poorer and poorer.
