Comey, testifying first, acknowledged that a „mistake“ was made in the handling of San Bernardino gunman Syed Rizwan Farook‘s iPhone in the 24 hours following the December attack.

The FBI previously reported that investigators had reset Farook‘s iCloud account password. As a result, Comey said Monday, it became „impossible later to cause the phone to back up again to the iCloud.“
