Three years ago on February 11, Tahrir Square in central Cairo was a scene of jubilation as the resignation of ousted dictator Hosni Mubarak was announced. Since July the 3rd, the military backed interim government has unleasehd a brutal crackdown against the the now banned Muslim Brotherhood movement leaving hundreds dead and many more in prison. Such practices have led to criticisms that the military is using the same practices used under Mubarak regime against the Egyptian public and dissidents.
