EDITORIAL: ‘Repackaged’ anti-conspiracy bill raises too many questions

An anti-conspiracy bill, killed three times previously, was repackaged as a bill to revise the law on punishment of organized crimes and approved by the Cabinet on March 21.

During the examination of this amendment bill by the ruling coalition, a modification was made to the original bill by introducing the expression „terrorist organizations“ to the provisions.

The modification was of no legal significance, as its purpose was simply to reassure the public that this is an anti-terrorism bill.
