In a sign that Ecuador‘s relationship with the World Bank hasn‘t improved, President Rafael Correa walked out during a Saturday presentation by the organization during the Iberoamerican Summit being held in Paraguay‘s capital.
Criticizing the „neoliberal policies“ of the World Bank and in protest of the bank‘s refusal to lend the country money in the past, Correa walked out during the presentation of Pamela Cox, vice president for Latin America at the World Bank.
