The French presidential election race has become rather bizarre and very unpredictable now that a leading candidate is under judicial investigation, and it could hand victory to an untested centrist reformist or open a boulevard for the extreme right candidate to seize the keys to the presidential palace and get a big chunk of the seats in parliament.
