Republicans and Democrats are invited to come together today at Market Square to speak out against the „absolute insanity“ of using military force in Syria.
Burt Cohen, a former Democratic state senator from New Castle, said a vigil will take place at 5:30 p.m. in Market Square. He said some Democrats are „toeing the party line“ and supporting President Barack Obama‘s request that Congress authorize a limited military mission in Syria, but many others are angered at the prospect of the nation getting involved in another war.
„I am outraged,“ Cohen said. „It can‘t bring peace or justice to attack Syria.“
