United States Central Command (CENTCOM) Commander General Lloyd J Austin called on Chief of Army Staff General Raheel Sharif at General Headquarters (GHQ) on Monday and discussed issues pertaining security with him.

Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) narrated that during the meeting of the US commander with General Raheel Sharif, issues of mutual interest including bilateral defence cooperation and overall regional security situation with more stress on Afghanistan came under discussion. CENTCOM Commander appreciated the sacrifices done by Pakistan Army in war against terror and operational gains in Zarb-e-Azb, which resulted in adequate degradation of terrorist’s network.
